Biography

Shanila Mannan focuses her practice on oil and gas transactions, title examination, and regulatory matters impacting Texas’ energy sector. She brings experience in corporate law and litigation, including insurance defense and creditor-rights representation, which enhances her ability to navigate complex commercial issues for her clients.

Before entering the legal field, Shanila served in the United States Air Force Reserve, where she continues to serve as a Technical Sergeant supporting global mobility operations. She earned her J.D. from Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University and her B.B.A. in Management from the University of Houston’s C.T. Bauer College of Business.

Outside of work, Shanila enjoys traveling, exploring Houston’s restaurant scene, and spending time with family.
