Michelle Sottiaux

Biography

Michelle Sottiaux is a former journalist with over a decade of experience in commercial real estate and oil and gas in the upstream sector, particularly in Appalachia. She has held key roles at nationally recognized law firms and leading land brokerage firms where she advised energy companies on a range of matters.

Michelle specializes in oil and gas title examinations, due diligence for asset transactions, curing title defects, and drafting and reviewing contracts. Her practice focuses on authoring detailed oil and gas title opinions, leasing and mineral rights, and conducting in-depth analysis of land and mineral ownership.

Outside of the office, she enjoys reading, beach yoga, and traveling to new and exotic destinations.
