Biography

Emily Sheffield’s practice focuses on upstream energy transactions and drafting and reviewing oil and gas title opinions — including original, supplemental, acquisition, and division order opinions — covering fee, state, and federal lands.

She has presented on a variety of oil and gas topics and is active with industry associations including the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL), the Houston Association of Professional Landmen (HAPL), and the National Association of Division Order Analysts (NADOA). Emily has been recognized as a top-rated energy and natural resources lawyer in Houston since 2023.

Outside of work, Emily enjoys spending time outdoors and photographing landscapes and wildlife.
