Biography

Ashley Cao specializes in representing companies in oil and gas transactional, title, and leasing matters. She advises on upstream energy mergers, acquisitions, sales, and joint ventures, including drafting and reviewing key contracts.

Prior to her legal career, Ashley co-founded the Color Kids’ Heart Foundation to raise funds to assist the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation (UMDF) in Houston and its neighboring areas. During law school, Ashley served as an editor for the Houston Journal of International Law Articles at the University of Houston Law Center. She also received a scholarship from the National Association of Women Judges and graduated at the top of her class.

Outside of work, Ashley enjoys practicing languages — specifically Spanish and Vietnamese — playing pickleball, and studying resale markets.
