
Robert focuses on upstream energy title and transactional matters.
While in law school, Robert served on the SMU Science & Technology Law Review for two years as a Staff Editor and Notes Editor and was published for his comment on Texas’s water future. He also clerked at Oliva Gibbs and externed at a Fortune 500 oil and gas company within their legal department.
Prior to attending law school, Robert worked as an engineer in drilling, completions, and production for multiple operators and the world’s largest oilfield services company in the Bakken, Permian, and Western Anadarko basins. These experiences provided Robert with an in-depth understanding of the operational challenges of the upstream sector, which he applies in his legal practice.
In his free time, Robert enjoys golfing, cheering on Georgia Tech athletics, and spending time with family and friends.
